Praise the Lord!

I had a wonderful time today at a ladies seminar at Middletown Bible Church in Middletown, CT. One thing that stood out to me that I wanted to share was something they mentioned from Pastor Parsons: when you think "depression", say to yourself, "Do Press On! Praise God!" Got it? Depression - do press on - praise God! Turn those feelings around and get your mind back.

I love the song by Russ Taff called, "Praise the Lord." The chorus says, "Praise the Lord! He can work through those who praise Him, praise the Lord! For our God inhabits praise. Praise the Lord! For the chains that seem to bind you, serve only to remind you that they drop powerless behind you when you praise Him!"

It is so true! If you sing praises to God during your difficult times, it changes your perspective and attitude. Praise Him in the good times, praise Him in the bad times, praise Him all the time!

Psalm 22:3: "But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel."
Psalm 113:1: "Praise ye the LORD. Praise, O ye servants of the LORD, praise the name of the LORD."

MUST READ about Fifty Shades of Grey

This article is spot on when it comes to healthy vs. unhealthy relationships. This article is by a pediatrician and child, adolescent and adult psychiatrist, as well as a mother. Please read this short article for an evaluation of this unhealthy movie. It's expected to be one of the most attended movies ever on Valentines Day, but it's preaching something to you that can harm you and your future. We need to make wise choices in our entertainment.

A movie called, "Old Fashioned", shown today in some states, is a much better alternative, showing what a healthy relationship looks like. It looks like a wonderful film to watch that promotes respect to women and a caring relationship.

Today is my Release Date for Beauty in Pain!

I am very pleased to announce that today is my release date for my Beauty in Pain album! You now have more options than just ordering it through Tate Publishing Buy CD from Tate Publishing, or through Tate Music Group See electronic press kit, or by coming to one of my book signings or concerts (for event listing, see link above "See electronic press kit" under "events").

As of right now, I see it online through amazon.com and have noticed it on the American site, French, German, UK, and Japanese sites. Amazon has samples that you can listen to, to get an idea of the style and tone of my music/voice. You can also download singles, or the entire album if you choose. It's also available on many other sites, but I've listed three links below.

I hope you are encouraged and blessed by listening to my songs! I am currently writing my 4th book, and it's about music. The working title is: "Choosing Music Wisely: Revolutionizing Christian Music in the 21st Century." I am hoping to submit my manuscript by the end of the month. My hope and dream is to create and encourage other artists and performers to create God-honoring music, music in which God is pleased and glorified, without carnality. There is a balance, as we can take music to two extremes, and I lay practical guidelines out using God's Word, some great resources, and 30 years of music experience in ministry as my guide.

Fully Persuaded book completed! Ready to purchase!

Yay!!! My Fully Persuaded book is finally complete! It is available to order via Tate Publishing now. It's a book that will help you be more confident in your beliefs in Christianity, and explain it to others. Covers topics such as critical thinking, tolerance, biblical worldview, Christians and judging, existence and attributes of God, reliability and preservation of Scripture, world religions, doctrines of the faith, social issues, prayer, and more!

It is 500 pages long, but an easy read. There are some areas that get deeper, but I always bring it around to a practical application. Geared toward teens and college-aged young people, but adults will love it, too.

At the end of each chapter there are verses to reflect upon, and a self assessment and challenge, similar to I Will Stand. Enjoy your book!

Christian Concert March 1, 2015

I am pleased to announce that I will be having another concert, located at Meriden Hills Baptist Church on Sunday afternoon, March 1, 2015 at 1:30 p.m.. The location is 139 Charles Street, Meriden, CT 06450. Contact info is 203-237-0302 for any questions. There will be lunch provided for free at 12 noon prior to the event. Feel free to come to Life Groups at 10:00 a.m. (for all ages), and the worship service at 11:00 a.m. You will be blessed!

The music I will be singing will be from my Beauty in Pain CD. The words to the songs are rich with meaning, and the songs are comforting and beautiful. They will comfort and encourage you, especially the soul that is weary, discouraged, or struggling, whether it be emotionally, physically or spiritually. Bring a friend!

God's Simple Plan of Salvation

Are You Sure about Heaven?

Think carefully on this soul-searching question. If you were to die right now, do you know for sure you would go to heaven? If your answer is anything other than, “Yes, I am absolutely certain that my sins are forgiven and that heaven will be my home,” then here is an important message just for you. The Bible teaches that you need to know and believe these things to settle this.

First, you have sinned against God.

“For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23).

“As it is written, there is none righteous, no, not one” (Romans 3:10).

Then God tells us where sin leads.

“Wherefore, as by one man [Adam] sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned” (Romans 5:12).

“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord” (Romans 6:23).

The wonderful news of the Bible is that Jesus loves you and died in your place to pay the penalty for your sin.

“But God commendeth [demonstrated] His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8).

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).

Now, here is what God wants you to do.

“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved” (Romans 10:9).

“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved” (Romans 10:13).

God wants you to believe His Word and accept Jesus Christ as your personal Savior.

"The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to usward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance" (2 Peter 3:9).

If you will, then right now pray a simple prayer, asking the Lord to save you. (Remember, the exact words of this prayer do not save you, but it is what you believe in your heart as you pray a prayer of repentance to be saved that will save you.)

Dear Lord, I know that I am a sinner. I believe that you came to earth and died on the cross for my sins and that you rose again from the dead and now you live in heaven! I’m sorry for sinning against you. Please forgive me for my sins and come into my heart and save me right now. Thank you for saving me and giving me eternal life. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Congratulations! If you prayed that prayer in faith, believing it with all your heart, then you are saved! You will go to heaven when you die, and starting now, God will help you throughout your entire life. Eternal life starts now! He can be your best friend.
