WELCOME!

Welcome to my blog! I hope to be a resource to help you in your walk with God. Now more than ever we need to get back to the basic fundamentals of moral living and take a stand for what is right and truthful with God as our ultimate authority. His Word is reliable and preserved and can be trusted, so that is the basis for my advice and teaching. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or topics you would like me to cover. I look forward to sharing what God has placed on my heart. See my website at https://www.lovinggodministry.com/ for books and music I have written that will enrich your life!

Ezekiel 22:30: "And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none." Let's stand in the gap together!

The Meaning of Life

I've been in a reflective mood lately as my kids are in college now, and my oldest daughter is married. Life certainly has its ups and down, but it all has meaning when we put it in perspective through God's eyes. Our trials have a purpose, though we may not know it all this side of heaven. What has meaning for me is leaving a legacy, making a difference, teaching and training the next generation in truth and righteousness. I love the Lord so much, and am so thankful that He has given me a wonderful family that I love very much!

The Meaning of Life
By Dawn Foss

Looking in the mirror, eyes reveal my age; spring of life is over, turn another page.

Years roll on like water flowing down a brook. Another's chapter's ending, like pages in a book.

Children growing up to be the age I was, when life was really starting, ahead was so much fun!

Lived life to the fullest joy, with sorrows mixed. Those family times together surely will be missed.

Lonely heart can burn with pain that no one sees. As life passes by, best place is on one’s knees.

Sure there are regrets, but happy times as well; finding joy through hard times, learning through it all.

Pain on many levels seem to drop on by, but joy and hope discover the value of a life.

Looking back I'm thankful, even through the strife. Reflecting on what matters; that’s the meaning of life.

Looking through the photos, good times come alive. Glad I caught the mem’ries, got the kids to smile.

Working, training, climbing the ladder to success, now it’s time to settle down and get some rest.

Money moves on through my hands to pay the bills. In and out it moves along, counting on some thrills.

Making short and long term goals keeps me alert; keeps me young and vibrant, gives life added worth.

Stages of development bring me to a place, where mentoring another fulfills my empty space.

No longer does my focus center on myself. To teach and help another is greater than my wealth.

Giving what I’ve learned to someone who will hear, puts value on my struggles, puts worth to every tear.

My life has been a journey, sometimes it changes course; each bend has fresh new meaning, with God’s sustaining force.

Through the heavy crowds and loads of smiling faces, a soul can lie in sorrow, sunken in dark places.

A helping heart will seek and find a suffering soul, looking through facades to see the actual.

Continue on this journey and finish this race strong; keep the Lord before you, and you will not go wrong.

Seek the One who gives the meaning to our lives; be there for your family; read God's Word to make you wise.

Faithfully serve God till you reach the end; use your extra time to reach out to a friend.

Looking back I’m thankful, for all God orchestrated in my life till now, I think I’ll celebrate it!

Glad my work’s not over, there’s still much to be done. Exciting new adventures, time for some new fun.

Writing, teaching, singing, my heart is overflowing; aging does not mean our lives should not keep growing.

Bridge:
Cherish past experiences, even troubled times; then move on, forget; run forth toward the prize.

Chorus:
That’s the meaning of life, make each day of it count,

Live like today was your last, rejoice and give a good shout!

Don’t be afraid to take a risk, a chance, or try something new!

That’s the meaning of life, serving God in all that you do.

Philippians 3:13,14: "Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus."
