WELCOME!

Welcome to my blog! I hope to be a resource to help you in your walk with God. Now more than ever we need to get back to the basic fundamentals of moral living and take a stand for what is right and truthful with God as our ultimate authority. His Word is reliable and preserved and can be trusted, so that is the basis for my advice and teaching. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or topics you would like me to cover. I look forward to sharing what God has placed on my heart. See my website at https://www.lovinggodministry.com/ for books and music I have written that will enrich your life!

Ezekiel 22:30: "And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none." Let's stand in the gap together!

A Devotional That is Hard to Put Down - FULLY PERSUADED!

I know I'm the author, so I may be a little biased, but this book is a fantastic read!  I read this again and again because it inspires me, and reviews key concepts in my mind so I can better defend my faith. But what I really like about this book, besides having great information in it from trusted sources, is that it's kind, thoughtful, and easy to read.  It has a comfortable font, plenty of white space, reflections at the end of each chapter, and poems to break up the reading from time to time.  It's written heart to heart in a personable way.  It has a lot of Scripture in it, typed out so you don't have to look it up yourself, which adds to the convenience.  The chapters are not too long, so even though there are 6 main units to this book, the chapters within each unit are easy to get through.

Topics include critical thinking, what tolerance actually means, biblical world view, world religions, atheism and philosophies about God and religion, ethical principles from God's Word, Christians and judging, homosexuality, abortion, prayer, manuscripts of the Bible, the existence of truth, the creation of the world, what to look for in a good church, and much more!  It has 499 pages, and that includes some handy appendixes at the end, such as verses for assurance of salvation, biblical doctrines such as angels, and the plan of salvation.  There is also a page at the end where you are encouraged to write a letter to God to dedicate your life to Him.  It's so practical, and includes tips for studying the Bible, how it's organized, and the Lord's Prayer.

The retail is $33.99, but I sell them for $20 each, including CT Sales Tax, at the events that I attend. I make very little money on these at that price, but I want to make this available to as many people as I can. Here is a link to see my upcoming events: Dawn's upcoming events

Also, coming up APRIL 21 - the release date for FULLY PERSUADED!  After this date it will be available from amazon.com, Barnes and Noble, etc.  This is a great book for teens and up.  My pastor said that if he saw this in a bookstore, he would flip through it and buy it.  It's hard to see when it's online, but it's a book that's hard to put down, and you will grow spiritually. It's also a super resource for Sunday School or Bible studies. You may even find yourself "on fire" for the Lord as you walk fully persuaded in your faith, ready to proclaim the truths from God's Word to those around you with confidence and joy!

Additionally, the Sword of the Lord publishers reviewed Fully Persuaded and accepted it for advertisement in their international newspaper.  It will be in their paper in May.  This is a book you can trust!  God bless you, and I hope this book will be a blessing to you in your walk with the Lord!

Buy it now from Tate Publishing  $33.99 paperback, or $15.99 eBook

Turning the World Upside Down

Acts 17:6: "And when they found them not, they drew Jason and certain brethren unto the rulers of the city, crying, These that have turned the world upside down are come hither also."

Does it take a lot of people to turn the world system upside down?  I would think so!  But apparently that is not the case.  Look at what the disciples did in their time.  They were accused of turning the world upside down because they were fully persuaded, or fully convinced that Jesus Christ is the salvation of the world.

My brothers and sisters in Christ, there are fellow believers all over the world being hung and beheaded for the cause of Christ.  They too are fully persuaded that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and there is life through HIS name.  They are choosing rather to die than to continue to live in this present world for a promise of the next world to come, and to make a statement to this world that He is the ONE TRUE AND LIVING GOD.  Oh, they are not committing suicide, but are being murdered.

I heard on the radio from Focus on the Family the testimony of a mother whose son was murdered in Egypt for his faith.  She said how proud she was of him, because if he hadn't stood firm for his faith, and denied the faith to save his life, he would have been of no use to them who are standing for the cause of Christ. But he stood firm, never denying, never wavering even under persecution, and she said they are unworthy of this blessing.  What faith this mother has!  This is not a freaky faith, but a committed faith. This is what the Bible says of young men like this, who despite torture and persecution and a horrible, painful death just for their stand for Christ, men who are not hurting anyone but rather giving hope, passing on the free gift of salvation to all the world:

"Women received their dead raised to life again: and others were tortured, not accepting deliverance; that they might obtain a better resurrection: and others had trial of cruel mockings and scourgings, yea, moreover of bonds and imprisonment: they were stoned, they were sawn asunder, were tempted, were slain with the sword: they wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins; being destitute, afflicted, tormented; (of whom the world was not worthy:)" (Hebrews 11:35-38a).

We are not worthy of these men's sacrifice.  What are we doing to further the cause of Christ, the hope of the entire world?  It's not going to come from politicians.  It's not going to come from healthcare workers such as doctors, social workers, psychiatrists, etc.  It's not going to come from educators in the public school systems, including higher education.  It's going to, and meant to come from the church.  That's where revival comes from, starting in the hearts of every believer in Christ.  Now, believers working in these worldly systems can make a difference, but the burden is not in professions, but in the job of the church, getting outreach programs that are actually reaching out to others.  Filling the marketplace with books and Christian movies and music that is honoring to God and showing the way to Christ.  It's in neighborhood and community outreaches all over the world, people standing strong and tall for their beliefs, standing on the inspired and flawless, inerrant Word of God that lives and abides FOREVER - it has been written, and it has been PRESERVED for all time!

"Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away" (Matthew 24:35).

"For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled" (Matthew 5:18).

"So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it" (Isaiah 55:11).

"The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever" (Isaiah 40:8).

"The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.
Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever" (Psalm 12:6-7).

If you believe God wrote the Word of God, then you must believe God has the power to preserve it, just as He has said in His Word.  The Bible does not contain the Word of God, it IS the Word of God, preserved for all time.

We are all in a sin condition.  Whether you have same sex attractions or opposite sex attractions, whether you have anger issues, anxiety or depression, whether you are rich or poor, male or female, educated or uneducated, regardless of your ethnicity or race, regardless of your upbringing or social status, blue collar or white collar worker, it makes no difference: "for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved" (Romans 10:12-13).  That's the good news of Jesus Christ.  PROCLAIM IT!  He's the hope of the world.

Join those who are taking a stand and lose the carnality in your life, confess your sins and repent daily, so God can use YOU in a great and mighty way.  There is no greater joy or purpose in this life than to do just that, what you can do in your corner of the world with the abilities God has given you specifically.  What can you do to make a difference in this lost, fallen, dark world where so many have never even heard the Gospel, even right here in America?  May I encourage you to self evaluate, and may I challenge you to get involved in your local church...while there is still time.  Redemption draweth nigh.  The rapture, I believe, is coming soon - let's take as many as we can with us when Jesus raptures the church!  Praise the Lord!

Truth Truly Matters!

Please listen to one of my songs from my Beauty in Pain album, just released 2/10/15. This is one of my favorite songs: "The Truth of the Matter."  Feel free to share if you'd like. It's a great reminder to all of us that it's worth taking a stand for truth, because truth matters. Isaiah 59:14: "And judgment is turned away backward, and justice standeth afar off: for truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter." Let's not let that be said of OUR neighborhood!

Let's stand for truth!  The good news of Jesus Christ is the hope of the world - that's nothing to be ashamed of, but something we should proudly declare with confidence, because that's the news that will save souls from eternal death, eternal separation from God, from what is good and true, from comfort, from love - it's worth sharing. It's free to all, but it has a cost, paid in full by Jesus Christ with His own blood.  He conquered death and is alive - that's the God I adore; how could I not?  What love!  What triumph!  What sacrifice!  Because He paid the price for our sin, we can have victory over anything claiming our hearts and lives today.  He broke those chains!  That's the truth of the matter.  Woo hoo! Pick up Truth from off the street, get on a mountain top and DECLARE IT!

Choosing Music Wisely - my 4th book!

I am so pleased to announce that Tate Publishing accepted my 4th book: "Choosing Music Wisely: Revolutionizing Christian Music in the 21st Century." How does the God-fearing Christian approach music choices, not just in church, but for entertainment? This book outlines musical concepts and balance so that people can find music they enjoy, but that is pleasing to God. It's a life-changing journey, and appeals also to performers and writers to create godly music choices. This topic is a hot one, one that addresses the root of the problem with music choices: Christian freedom vs. holiness. Stay tuned! This is a powerful book that will help give tangible guidelines and principles to choose music wisely and enjoy this wonderful gift from God!
