Be a Generation of Young People who Stand for What's Right. TAKE THE HIGHER ROAD!
WELCOME!
Welcome to my blog! I hope to be a resource to help you in your walk with God. Now more than ever we need to get back to the basic fundamentals of moral living and take a stand for what is right and truthful with God as our ultimate authority. His Word is reliable and preserved and can be trusted, so that is the basis for my advice and teaching. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or topics you would like me to cover. I look forward to sharing what God has placed on my heart. See my website at https://www.lovinggodministry.com/ for books and music I have written that will enrich your life!
Ezekiel 22:30: "And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none." Let's stand in the gap together!

Benny's Good-Night Prayer: hard copies now available!
Join Benny as he discovers what God has to say about prayer, and how wonderful a prayer life can be. Building a relationship with God, as with anyone, must start with conversation. Let us all come with the humility and faith of a child as we approach the throne of God every day to worship God, and find forgiveness, peace, love, and strength for the journey.

Crunchy Leaves
Do you ever feel like your life has a season of death? I don't mean literal death, but it might be a harsh cleansing of the soul, bitter tears of agony spilled over regret or sadness, perhaps loss of control, grief for events taking place, worry, concern for a loved one, whatever might make your soul ache with agony in your heart. I personally like the word "turmoil." That so much explains how I feel at times when my world around me is not settled, change is occurring, transition is taking place, or just having trouble figuring out what is going on around me. It might be in politics, health, relationships, finances, spiritual warfare, etc.
What is so beautiful is a heart that then discovers peace. Perhaps it was through prayer alone, or that coupled with talking with an understanding friend, perhaps fellowship around the Word of God, writing your thoughts and feelings down in a journal as a way to get the mind clutter and chaos from the subconscious to the conscious mind so you can organize your thoughts on paper. I have found this peace often with being alone, perhaps on a scenic drive and just praying to my Heavenly Father. But the result is peace, clarity, and new growth. Just as a piece of rough wood gets sanded down, so does our character in these trying times, to make us smoother, more mature and experienced, and stronger for new battles ahead. And just like the crunchy leaves on our feet and beautiful snowflakes on our tongue, we can take the hard times and appreciate the little blessings (and big rewards) of acceptance and increased faith in our loving Heavenly Father as we go through the changes in life, and then rejoice as we experience spring once again in our lives. Don't forget to enjoy the journey, not just the destination.
James 1:2-4: "My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing."

Skyline Drive slideshow
After we left Liberty University to bring our daughter back to college, we took Skyline Drive. It took us 5 hrs. to get through it, but it was really beautiful!
