WELCOME!

Welcome to my blog! I hope to be a resource to help you in your walk with God. Now more than ever we need to get back to the basic fundamentals of moral living and take a stand for what is right and truthful with God as our ultimate authority. His Word is reliable and preserved and can be trusted, so that is the basis for my advice and teaching. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or topics you would like me to cover. I look forward to sharing what God has placed on my heart. See my website at http://www.dawnfoss.tateauthor.com and http://www.dawnfoss.com/ for books and music I have written that will enrich your life!

Ezekiel 22:30: "And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none." Let's stand in the gap together!

Christmas Fair Vendor poem

This is a poem I wrote in November while at the Yankee Peddlar Christmas Craft Fair.  I hope you enjoy it!

Christmas Fair Vendor
By Dawn Foss

Here I am a-sittin’ at a holiday craft fair.
Spent lots of money on a fee just to be here.
Everyone’s a passin’ by my table with a smile
Saying, “Good what you’re doin’”, thinkin’ it’s worthwhile.

Lookin’ at the others with lots of customers near them,
Pretty scarves and teas, jewelry, facial creams and wooden pens.
Pot holders, cards, homemade dolls and home baked foods,
Teddy bears and sleighs, angels, vases, festive goods.

Smellin’ yummy food, would like a treat or two, you know.
Needin’ a rest room, but can’t leave my spot to go.
Feelin’ kind of lonely, wish I had a friend with me
To help me pass the time and keep me company.

Vending at a craft fair, meetin’ lots of friendly folks,
All of us supportive, laughing, smiling, telling jokes.
A staff member comes and relieves me for a break
To scope out the crafts and things the other vendors make.

Sittin’ at my table, watchin’ all the folks pass by.
Christmastime is coming, is there anything you want to buy?
Come get yours now, I won’t be here for long,
Would you like a book, a poem card, or a lovely song?

Yawnin’ at the craft fair, wishin’ I was selling food,
Craft fair’s almost over, soon my car I’ll have to load.
I see the other vendors countin’ out their dollar bills,
Christmas fair vending can give one a lot of thrills.

Had quiet time with God and thankful for the rest,
Hope that those who purchased my items will be mighty blessed!
Laboring for God is never a waste of time,

Talking with folks about Christ is a privilege so divine!
