Beauty in Pain CD recorded!

I spent the week of April 14, 2014 in Oklahoma City recording my first album, "Beauty in Pain." They also did a photo shoot, and a music video for the song, "Feelings." It was the time of my life! The guys at Tate Music Group are extremely talented, and fun to work with. It was such a blessing to be there! I even got to get a tour of Tate Publishing, who has published my first two books ("I Will Stand" and "Christmas Love"), and is currently working on book #3: "Fully Persuaded." It was so great to meet everyone in person!

If all goes as planned, the CD should be done by September 2014, and released for distribution by the end of the year, in time for Christmas! This album will encourage and comfort those who are struggling, and bring truth and hope through beautiful music that will soothe the soul. If you are not struggling, then you will still be able to enjoy the message, and perhaps encourage someone you know who is struggling.

Be on the lookout for my CD! I'll keep you all posted as updates become available. God truly blessed throughout this entire week, between the recordings, the weather, my sinuses, my hair style cooperating, keeping me safe, etc. We stayed at an Isola Bella corporate apartment, which was beautiful, and we got to rent a beautiful red Toyota Corolla! My daughter Rebecca and I had a blast! We finished early on everything, as it all went very well. I just praise the Lord for allowing me to be a part of His team, using me for His honor and glory. It is so much fun to serve the Lord, and watch Him bless and orchestrate wonderful answers to prayers!

This was the recording booth. It took a little getting used to, but then it was smooth sailing!

We did the photo shoot in some beautiful nature spots (in between huge gusts of wind!), and the next day did an outdoor nature video shot for the song, "Feelings."

Tate Publishing and Tate Music Group made us feel very welcome!

The album should be done by the end of August or beginning of September, if all goes well. Then it's usually 90 days before it goes to distribution, to places such as iTunes, Rhapsody, Best Buy, Amazon, etc.

This album is now available on iTunes, amazon.com, Google Play, eMusic, etc. - was released 2/10/15.

God's Simple Plan of Salvation

Are You Sure about Heaven?

Think carefully on this soul-searching question. If you were to die right now, do you know for sure you would go to heaven? If your answer is anything other than, “Yes, I am absolutely certain that my sins are forgiven and that heaven will be my home,” then here is an important message just for you. The Bible teaches that you need to know and believe these things to settle this.

First, you have sinned against God.

“For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23).

“As it is written, there is none righteous, no, not one” (Romans 3:10).

Then God tells us where sin leads.

“Wherefore, as by one man [Adam] sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned” (Romans 5:12).

“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord” (Romans 6:23).

The wonderful news of the Bible is that Jesus loves you and died in your place to pay the penalty for your sin.

“But God commendeth [demonstrated] His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8).

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).

Now, here is what God wants you to do.

“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved” (Romans 10:9).

“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved” (Romans 10:13).

God wants you to believe His Word and accept Jesus Christ as your personal Savior.

"The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to usward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance" (2 Peter 3:9).

If you will, then right now pray a simple prayer, asking the Lord to save you. (Remember, the exact words of this prayer do not save you, but it is what you believe in your heart as you pray a prayer of repentance to be saved that will save you.)

Dear Lord, I know that I am a sinner. I believe that you came to earth and died on the cross for my sins and that you rose again from the dead and now you live in heaven! I’m sorry for sinning against you. Please forgive me for my sins and come into my heart and save me right now. Thank you for saving me and giving me eternal life. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Congratulations! If you prayed that prayer in faith, believing it with all your heart, then you are saved! You will go to heaven when you die, and starting now, God will help you throughout your entire life. Eternal life starts now! He can be your best friend.
