Christmas Love song

I wrote this poem, and will be making this into a song and putting an orchestration to it. For now you can read it as a poem. I hope you enjoy it! Before we know it, the Christmas season will be upon us! Yippee! I love that time of year!

Christmas Love

People try to silence Christmas
Saying it's not right,
But Christmas is a holiday
About a Savior's flight.

From heaven to earth to save the world,
He came just as He said,
He kept His promise, paid the price,
To bring life to the dead.

(chorus)

Christmas love, celebrate Christmas love,
There is no greater love to celebrate!
He came to earth to die;

To bring us life again

God’s mercy to forgive us,

Grace conquered all our sin

He saved us from our tragic fate,

Now that’s something to celebrate!

Hear the bells, smell the pine,
Ride a sleigh through snow;
Rejoice in all the season's fun,
And let the whole world know

There's hope and peace for everyone
Who trusts in Jesus Christ;
So roast some chestnuts, eat some pie,
Enjoy some family time!

Give some gifts and deck the halls,
Sing carols with your friends;
But don't forget to spread the love
That never, ever ends!

It's not a threat, it's awesome news!
Don't be ashamed to say:
"Merry Christmas! God bless you!"
Rejoice on Christmas Day!

God's Simple Plan of Salvation

Are You Sure about Heaven?

Think carefully on this soul-searching question. If you were to die right now, do you know for sure you would go to heaven? If your answer is anything other than, “Yes, I am absolutely certain that my sins are forgiven and that heaven will be my home,” then here is an important message just for you. The Bible teaches that you need to know and believe these things to settle this.

First, you have sinned against God.

“For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23).

“As it is written, there is none righteous, no, not one” (Romans 3:10).

Then God tells us where sin leads.

“Wherefore, as by one man [Adam] sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned” (Romans 5:12).

“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord” (Romans 6:23).

The wonderful news of the Bible is that Jesus loves you and died in your place to pay the penalty for your sin.

“But God commendeth [demonstrated] His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8).

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).

Now, here is what God wants you to do.

“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved” (Romans 10:9).

“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved” (Romans 10:13).

God wants you to believe His Word and accept Jesus Christ as your personal Savior.

"The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to usward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance" (2 Peter 3:9).

If you will, then right now pray a simple prayer, asking the Lord to save you. (Remember, the exact words of this prayer do not save you, but it is what you believe in your heart as you pray a prayer of repentance to be saved that will save you.)

Dear Lord, I know that I am a sinner. I believe that you came to earth and died on the cross for my sins and that you rose again from the dead and now you live in heaven! I’m sorry for sinning against you. Please forgive me for my sins and come into my heart and save me right now. Thank you for saving me and giving me eternal life. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Congratulations! If you prayed that prayer in faith, believing it with all your heart, then you are saved! You will go to heaven when you die, and starting now, God will help you throughout your entire life. Eternal life starts now! He can be your best friend.
