Hate is good or bad, based on the object or reason of that hate. We should not hate people, but we can hate ideas. We can and must hate sin, injustice, crime, murder, shedding innocent blood, lies, mischief, etc. God hates, so we get it from Him, as we were created in God's image. God is love, so we get that from Him, too, our ability to love one another, and most of all, God with all our hearts, souls, and minds. We have to place these in things in the correct areas, hating what we should hate, and loving what we should love.

These six things doth the Lord hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: a proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, an heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, a false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren."
